The International Cooperative Beekeepers Association Institute in Al-Baha carries out the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development courses

A honeybee queen rearing course organized by the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) in cooperation with the International Cooperative Beekeepers Association Institute in Al-Baha began for beekeeping specialists from Gulf ministries of agriculture and related agencies, running 24-29 March 2018. General supervisor Dr. Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamdi said the 13 participants came from Gulf states, including specialists from the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. He noted this was one of six AOAD courses in the first phase with two already held, with the next, 'Mechanical Insemination of Honeybee Queens', set for 14 April, and emphasized the courses' focus on practical and field applications, with program tours to apiaries and tourist areas planned.
