
The International Beekeepers' Federation "Apimondia" establishes a Middle East branch and appoints Al-Khazim as its head
In an unprecedented step since its founding in 1839, the International Beekeepers' Federation (Apimondia) established a branch for the Middle East and the Arab world, and its Secretary-General issued a decision appointing Professor Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamdi as its head. Apimondia, the world's largest gathering of those interested in the bee industry, includes more than 150 member countries, is headquartered in Rome, and holds a conference every two years; its most recent conference was held in Turkey in 2017 with over 13,000 participants.
