An Accredited International Institute in Al-Baha for Training and Qualification
A news report (by Yasser Al-Otaibi, Al-Baha) on the completion of the Kingdom's first international beekeeper training and qualification institute by the Cooperative Beekeepers Association in Al-Baha, accredited by Technical Education, approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs, with programs certified by the Bugshan Chair for Bee Research at King Saud University. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamdi states that three years of assessment studies confirmed the need for the institute to raise current practitioners' skills and qualify new professional beekeepers, noting most Saudi beekeepers still use traditional methods. The institute offers more than 20 programs (one day to nine months) focused on practical application, with plans to coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Development Fund, social security, and charities, and to attract trainees from the Kingdom, the Gulf, and the Arab world.
