The First of Its Kind in the Kingdom / An International Institute for Training and Qualifying Beekeepers in Al-Baha

A news report (Al-Riyadh newspaper, by Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi) announcing that the Cooperative Beekeepers Association in Al-Baha has completed building the first international beekeeper training and qualification institute in the Kingdom, accredited by the Technical Education foundation, approved by the Ministry of Social Affairs, and with programs certified by the Engineer Abdullah Bugshan Chair for Bee Research at King Saud University. Dr. Ahmed Al-Khazim Al-Ghamdi explains that three years of assessment studies confirmed the urgent need for such an institute to raise the skills of current practitioners and train new professional beekeepers. The institute houses a main meeting hall, two lecture halls, a lab, offices, a library, a rest area, and a demonstration apiary, and offers over 20 programs ranging from one day to nine months.
